At this edition of the Corfu Mountain Trail, we had the honour of hosting Giuditta Turini, wo finished first Overall with a time of 04.55.00 on the 44 km Rain Trail!
Giuditta features a long list of impressive results in mountain running worldwide, one of these a Gold medal on the SKYULTRA discipline in the 2022 Skyrunning World Championships in Italy in 2022. Giuditta was also first woman at the 2022 version of the Rain Trail.

Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά σας ενημερώνουμε πως την Κυριακή 07/05/2023 στις 11.00 το πρωί θα διεξαχθεί #παιδικός_αγώνας 1000m στο χώρο της πλατείας, σε συνεργασία με τον Δήμο Κεντρικής Κέρκυρας και τον τοπικό ΣΕΓΑΣ.

ℹ Μπορούν να λάβουν μέρος όλα τα παιδία από 6 έως 12 ετών.

👉 Εγγραφές και παραλαβή αριθμών θα γίνονται στην γραμματεία πριν την εκκίνηση .

▪ 06:00 Εκκίνηση ULTRA103χλμ από τον Ύψο.
▪ 13:00-15:30 Παραλαβή αριθμών συμμετοχής, RAIN TRAIL 44χλμ, OLIVE TREE 24χλμ και QUICK TRAIL12χλμ χώρος τερματισμού Λιστον.

🥁𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗳𝘂 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗥𝗔🥁

🟥It starts from Ypsos and goes towards the village of Spartila at the 5th km where there is a water supply station. It continues its upward course towards the Taxiarchis and then towards Mount Pantokrator, which is also the highest point of Corfu. At the 12th kilometer is the highest point of the race and at Kelia an aid station.

🟥 From there we enter the path again and through technical terrain we reach the village of Strinilas, passing through the village we descend towards the church of Panagia of the Routes. After the church we take the paved road then turn right and enter the beautiful smooth path which takes us to the village of Sgourades. There is a tap with drinking water in the village square.

🟥For about 2 km we move on the asphalt and then we turn right at the 22nd kilometer on the orchid path to the village of Zygos. Leaving the village behind we move along the stream for about 2 km, and then we head uphill to the left until the 27th kilometer to the traditional village of Sokraki.

🟥Then we move on the ridge of the mountain passing the areas of Pilida – Trumpeta – Agia Anna seeing on our left the city of Corfu and on our right hand the Northern part of the island and the Diapontian islands Othoni Erikoussa Mathraki. Then we pass through the village of Lakones at the 42nd km where there is a central aid station.

🟥It continues and passes through the village of Giannades at the 54th km where there is water supply and after the village of Ermones at the 59th km where there will be the fourth central aid station with the athletes’ drop bags.

🟥 From this point and through a dirt road, our route goes to the village of Ermones, successively following the beaches of Myrtiotissa, Glyfada, Kontogialo, while in the village of Varypatades there is a water supply station. We continue through the dirt road from the villages of Kouramades, Castellanoi where there will be a central aid station. We head towards the village of Agioi Deka with a water supply station and descend to the village of Garounas...

🏆Νικητής του δυσκολότερου και πιο απαιτητικού, ίσως, αγώνα στην Ευρώπη για το 2021, του περίφημου Tor des Geants (γύρος των τεσσάρων γιγάντων MontBlanc, Grand Paradiso, Materchorn, MonteRosa ) απόστασης 330χλμ και 27000 θετικής υψομετρικής με τον απίστευτο χρόνο 64 ώρες και με ρεκόρ αγώνα.

ℹ Να επισημάνουμε ότι οι περισσότεροι αθλητές, λόγο της δυσκολίας του αγώνα, εξαντλούν το όριο των 150 ωρών ή αλλιώς τερματίζουν κοντά στο διαβολικό όριο 666 (6 μέρες ,6 νύχτες,6 ώρες).

👉 Πρέπει επίσης να αναφερθεί ότι έχει νικήσει άλλες δύο φορές τον συγκεκριμένο αγώνα όπως επίσης και το Swiss peaks 360 στην Ελβετία. O Franco Colle βρίσκεται στη βαθμολογική ελίτ του αθλήματος.

🏆 Τhe winner of one of the hardest and most demanding races in Europe for 2021, the famous Tor des Geants, with a 330km route and 27,000 positive elevations with an incredible time of 64 hours and a record.

ℹ It is worth noting that most athletes, due to the difficulty of the race, reach the 150-hour limit or they finish in 6 days, 6 nights and 6 hours.

👉 Franco Colle has won this race two more times, as well as the Swiss Peaks Trail 360km in Switzerland, and is amongst the sport's top athletes.

😊 At the Corfu Mountain Trail, he will take part in the 103km race.

(English below) Στο Corfu Mountain Trail, για πρώτη φορά σε αγώνες βουνού στην Ελλάδα, θα χρησιμοποιηθεί η τεχνολογία RaceTracker.
Πρόκειται για τελευταίας τεχνολογίας σύστημα εντοπισμού του αθλητή αλλά και ακριβής καταγραφής της διαδρομής του, μέσω δορυφόρου.
Οι πληροφορίες έρχονται σε πραγματικό χρόνο παρέχοντας έτσι μεγαλύτερη ασφάλεια στον αγωνιζόμενο αλλά και ύψιστη αξιοπιστία στον αγώνα και τα αποτελέσματα.
Ο αθλητής θα φέρει την συσκευή στον εξοπλισμό του και αυτή θα στέλνει λεπτομερή δεδομένα καθ' όλη την διάρκεια του αγώνα
Το σημαντικότερο είναι πως με το απλό πάτημα ενός κουμπιού, θα εκπέμπεται σήμα SOS και θα είναι δυνατός ο ακριβής εντοπισμός του αθλητή για πάνω από 35 ώρες.
Το Race Tracker θα χρησιμοποιηθεί στους αγώνες των 103χλμ και 44χλμ.

At the Corfu Mountain Trail race and for the fist time at a mountain race in Greece, the RaceTracker technology is going to be used.
It is the modern tracking system of the athete and his race through satellite.
The information are transmitted in real time, providing extra safety for the athletes but also maximum reliability for the results of the race.
The athlete will be carrying the special device and it will be sending data during the hole race.
The most important is that by pressing a simple button the divice will be sending an SOS signal making possible to trace the position of the athlete for more than 35 hours.
The RaceTracker will be used for the 103km and 44km races.
